Paulina Guzman is from a family of first-generation immigrants with Spanish roots. She joined the labor force when she was young due to the influence of family's political ideology. She followed her family's steps and became a political science graduate. Because oh her major in International Affairs, she became the Global Engagement Officer in the Mayor's Office of International Affair (MOIA) in 2018. Guzman is passionate about promoting the values of equity, inclusion and diversity worldwide and to connect her native state Atlanta with the world. She was able to achieve that goal, thanks to her valuable professional position. In addition to that, she gained the necessary experience to become a real leader. During her leadership journey, she learnt with the help of her mother and her former boss an important lesson that may help future women leaders : «There is much more significance placed on soft skills that provide much more value to an institution than technical skills or ‘know-how’».

تنحدر باولينا جوزمان من أسرة تنتمي إلى الجيل الأول من المهاجرين و ذات أصول إسبانية. و قد انضمت إلى سوق الشغل عندما كانت صغيرة بسبب تأثير الفكر السياسي للأسرة. فسارت جوزمان على خطى أسرتها وأصبحت خريجة العلوم السياسية. و نظرًا لتخصصها في الشؤون الدولية ، أصبحت مسؤولة المشاركة العالمية للشؤون الدولية في مكتب العمدة (MOIA) في عام 2018. إن باولينا شغوفة بتعزيز قيم الإنصاف و الاندماج والتنوع في جميع أنحاء العالم وربط ولايتها الأم، أطلانطا ،مع العالم .فقد تمكنت من تحقيق هذا الهدف بفضل وظيفتها المهنية القيمة. بالإضافة إلى ذلك ، اكتسبت الخبرة اللازمة لتصبح قائدة حقيقية. فخلال رحلتها القيادية ، تعلمت بمساعدة والدتها ورئيستها السابقة درسًا هامًا قد يساعد قائدات المستقبل: "هناك أهمية كبرى للمهارات الشخصية فهي التي تعطي قيمة كبيرة للمؤسسة أكثر من المهارات التقنية '".

Paulina, as the Global Engagement Officer for more than 3 years, has proven herself as an excellent leader in a mostly male-governed country. It should be noted that female leaders tend to be more publicly engaged and more trustworthy than men. The reason behind this fact is that women leaders' working style is more collaborative and inclusive. They create a harmonious atmosphere among their employees which serves to produce innovative ideas. There are many factors behind Paulina's success. The first one is her mother who taught her children the importance of achieving one's goals while making time for family and friends. The second support takes the form of Paulina's former and current boss. They were the ones who showed the effectiveness of empowering one's employees.

باولينا ، بصفتها مسؤولة المشاركة العالمية لأكثر من 3 سنوات ، قد أثبتت نفسها كقائدة ممتازة في بلد يحكمه في الغالب الرجال . وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن النساء القائدات يملن لأن يكن أكثر انخراطًا مع عامة المجتمع من الرجال و بذلك فهن أكثر جدارة بالثقة منهم. فالسبب وراء هذا هو أن أسلوب عمل النساء القائدات يتميز بالتعاون والشمولية. و لإنهن يخلقن جوًا متناغمًا بين الموظفين مما يؤدي إلى إنتاج أفكار مبتكرة. فهناك العديد من العوامل وراء نجاح باولينا. و قد تشكل الأول في والدتها التي علّمت أطفالها أهمية تحقيق أهدافهم بالتزامن مع تخصيص الوقت للعائلة والأصدقاء. و الدعم الثاني اتخذ هيئة رئيستي باولينا السابقة والحالية. فهؤلاء الثلاثة كن من أظهر مدى فعالية تقوية و دعم الموظفين.
