Since an early age, Rabia El Alama has been interested in business and U.S-Morocco relations. She got her High School Diploma only to find herself torn between the choice of pursuing medicine or business. Unhesitantly, Rabia opted for the latter. She joined the prestigious ISCAE School in Casablanca to study Finance and Marketing. After her graduation as a BA holder in business administration, she felt she could not help her greed for more knowledge and thus applied for a masters’ program to be able to speak the language of international trade. This new move in her life marked the beginning of her exciting story. After working as a financial accountant with the ONA industrial group in Morocco, Rabia realized that such a career did not meet her aspirations. She has always been infatuated by the Anglo-Saxon culture, and being fluent in English, she joined the American Chamber of Commerce in Morocco (AmCham Office) in which she felt at home and served as a managing director of the office. This job inspired her to impact the lives of hundreds of people. El Alama’s job consists of not only managing the said office and the relations between Morocco and the U.S but also impacting the everyday life of people surrounding her. Her priority has always been trying to help women to self-fulfill their aspirations. Her position has enabled her to build a wide network of highly educated women, powerful female CEOs, and grassroots.

Women, for her, have to educate themselves, be healthy, energetic, well-informed and pursue expertise. This could lead them to impose their equality to men as deliverers of quality work. Rabia’s greatest achievement is to devote time and energy to educate and raise her kids. She raised them to be good and open-minded citizens who can speak many languages and who possess strong values such as being principled and caring. Another great achievement is her career with the AmCham office. She pulled out all the stops to serve the Moroccan-American relations with trust, honesty, and integrity. Rabia is convinced that "if you want to have a good balance in your life, you should marry well." She considers her marriage a strong union with which she was blessed. Her husband and herself help each other, care for their kids equally, and respect this euphoric relationship. Rabia’s inspiration has always been her grandmother, Mamas. Her grandmother lost her husband at the age of 26 leaving her with three kids without income. She had to work hard to raise them. Mamas had always insisted on enjoying life despite hardships. This lesson was imbued within Rabia, which explains her strong character and impressive career. There is no doubt that grandma Mamas would be extremely proud of her little granddaughter.

ﺑﻌﺪ ﺍﻟﻌﻤﻞ ﻛﻤﺤﺎﺳﺒﺔ ﻣﺎﻟﻴﺔ ﻓﻲ ﻣﺠﻤﻮﻋﺔ ONA ﺍﻟﺼﻨﺎﻋﻴﺔ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﻤﻐﺮﺏ، ﺃﺩﺭﻛﺖ ﺭﺑﻴﻌﺔ ﺃﻥ ﻫﺬہ ﺍﻟﻤﻬﻨﺔ ﻻ ﺗﻠﺒﻲ ﻛﻞ ﺗﻄﻠﻌﺎﺗﻬﺎ. ﻟﻄﺎﻟﻤﺎ ﻛﺎﻧﺖ ﻣﻔﺘﻮﻧﺔ ﺑﺎﻟﺜﻘﺎﻓﺔ ﺍﻷﻧﺠﻠﻮ ﺳﻜﺴﻮﻧﻴﺔ، ﻭﻷﻧﻬﺎ ﺗﺘﺤﺪﺙ ﺍﻹﻧﺠﻠﻴﺰﻳﺔ ﺑﻄﻼﻗﺔ، ﺍﻧﻀﻤﺖ ﺇﻟﻰ ﻏﺮﻓﺔ ﺍﻟﺘﺠﺎﺭﺓ ﺍﻷﻣﺮﻳﻜﻴﺔ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﻤﻐﺮﺏ )ﻣﻜﺘﺐ ﻏﺮﻓﺔ ﺍﻟﺘﺠﺎﺭﺓ ﺍﻷﻣﺮﻳﻜﻴﺔ( ﺣﻴﺚ ﺷﻌﺮﺕ ﻭﻛﺄﻧﻬﺎ ﻓﻲ ﻣﻨﺰﻟﻬﺎ ﻭﻋﻤﻠﺖ ﻛﻤﺪﻳﺮﺓ ﺇﺩﺍﺭﻳﺔ ﻟﻠﻤﻜﺘﺐ.ﺳﻤﺤﺖ ﻟﻬﺎ ﻫﺬہ ﺍﻟﻮﻇﻴﻔﺔ ﺑﺎﻟﺘﺄﺛﻴﺮ ﻓﻲ ﺣﻴﺎﺓ ﻣﺌﺎﺕ ﺍﻷﺷﺨﺎﺹ.

ﻟﻢ ﺗﻘﺘﺼﺮ ﻣﻬﻤﺘﻬﺎ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺇﺩﺍﺭﺓ ﺍﻟﻤﻜﺘﺐ ﺍﻟﻤﺬﻛﻮﺭ ﻭﺍﻟﻌﻼﻗﺎﺕ ﺑﻴﻦ ﺍﻟﻤﻐﺮﺏ ﻭﺍﻟﻮﻻﻳﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﻤﺘﺤﺪﺓ ﻓﺤﺴﺐ، ﺑﻞ ﻛﺎﻧﺖ ﺗﺸﻤﻞ ﺃﻳﻀﺎ ﺍﻟﺘﺄﺛﻴﺮ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﺤﻴﺎﺓ ﺍﻟﻴﻮﻣﻴﺔ ﻟﻸﺷﺨﺎﺹ ﺍﻟﻤﺤﻴﻄﻴﻦ ﺑﻬﺎ. ﻛﺎﻧﺖ ﺃﻭﻟﻮﻳﺘﻬﺎ ﺩﺍﺋﻤﺎ ﻫﻲ ﻣﺤﺎﻭﻟﺔ ﻣﺴﺎﻋﺪﺓ ﺍﻟﻨﺴﺎء ﻋﻠﻰ ﺗﺤﻘﻴﻖ ﺗﻄﻠﻌﺎﺗﻬﻦ. ﻣﻜﻨﻬﺎ ﻣﻮﻗﻌﻬﺎ ﻣﻦ ﺑﻨﺎء ﺷﺒﻜﺔ ﻭﺍﺳﻌﺔ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﻌﻼﻗﺎﺕ ﻣﻊ ﺍﻟﻨﺴﺎء ﺍﻟﻤﺘﻌﻠﻤﺎﺕ ﺗﻌﻠﻴﻤﺎ ﻋﺎﻟﻴﺎ، ﻭﺍﻟﻤﺪﻳﺮﺍﺕ ﺍﻟﺘﻨﻔﻴﺬﻳﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﻘﻮﻳﺎﺕ.

ﺭﺑﻴﻌﺔ ﻣﻘﺘﻨﻌﺔ ﺑﺄﻧﻪ "ﺇﺫﺍ ﺃﺭﺩﺕ ﺃﻥ ﻳﻜﻮﻥ ﻟﺪﻳﻚ ﺗﻮﺍﺯﻥ ﺟﻴﺪ ﻓﻲ ﺣﻴﺎﺗﻚ، ﻓﻌﻠﻴﻚ ﺑﺰﻭﺍﺝ ﻧﺎﺟﺢ." ﺗﻌﺘﺒﺮ ﺯﻭﺍﺟﻬﺎ ﺩﻋﻤﺎ ﻗﻮﻳﺎ ﺗﻨﻌﻢ ﺑﻪ. ﺗﺘﻌﺎﻭﻥ ﻣﻊ ﺯﻭﺟﻬﺎ ﺳﻮﻳﺎ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﻌﻨﺎﻳﺔ ﺑﺄﻃﻔﺎﻟﻬﻤﺎ، ﻓﻲ ﺍﺣﺘﺮﺍﻡ ﻣﺘﺒﺎﺩﻝ ﻟﻬﺬہ ﺍﻟﻌﻼﻗﺔ ﺍﻟﻤﺒﻬﺠﺔ ﺍﻟﺘﻲ ﺗﺠﻤﻌﻬﻤﺎ.

ﻟﻄﺎﻟﻤﺎ ﻛﺎﻧﺖ ﺟﺪﺗﻬﺎ ﻣﺎﻣﺎﺱ ﻣﺼﺪﺭ ﺇﻟﻬﺎﻣﻬﺎ. ﻟﻘﺪ ﻓﻘﺪﺕ ﺟﺪﺗﻬﺎ ﺯﻭﺟﻬﺎ ﻓﻲ ﺳﻦ 26 ﻋﺎﻣﺎ، ﻭﺗﺮﻛﺖ ﻟﻬﺎ ﺛﻼﺛﺔ ﺃﻃﻔﺎﻝ ﺑﺪﻭﻥ ﺩﺧﻞ. ﻛﺎﻥ ﻋﻠﻴﻬﺎ ﺃﻥ ﺗﻌﻤﻞ ﺑﺠﺪ ﻟﺘﺮﺑﻴﺘﻬﺎ. ﻟﻄﺎﻟﻤﺎ ﺃﺻﺮﺕ ﻣﺎﻣﺎﺱ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻻﺳﺘﻤﺘﺎﻉ ﺑﺎﻟﺤﻴﺎﺓ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﺮﻏﻢ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﺼﻌﻮﺑﺎﺕ. ﻛﺎﻥ ﻫﺬﺍ ﺍﻟﺪﺭﺱ ﻣﺆﺛﺮﺍ ﻓﻲ ﺭﺑﻴﻌﺔ، ﻭﻫﻮ ﻣﺎ ﻳﻔﺴﺮ ﺷﺨﺼﻴﺘﻬﺎ ﺍﻟﻘﻮﻳﺔ ﻭﻣﺴﻴﺮﺗﻬﺎ ﺍﻟﻤﺜﻴﺮﺓ ﻟﻺﻋﺠﺎﺏ. ﻟﻴﺲ ﻫﻨﺎﻙ ﺷﻚ ﻓﻲ ﺃﻥ ﺍﻟﺠﺪﺓ ﻣﺎﻣﺎﺱ ﺳﺘﻜﻮﻥ ﻓﺨﻮﺭﺓ ﻟﻠﻐﺎﻳﺔ ﺑﺤﻔﻴﺪﺗﻬﺎ ﺍﻟﺼﻐﻴﺮﺓ.
